"Sorry First Black President Didn't Do A Better Job"

Updated on October 14, 2012

A Ringing Endorsement

Right after the first debate on the 8th of October Kid Rock introduced Paul Ryan at a rally in Rochester, Michigan. The headline was a quote from Kid and not my words. I had a fair idea of the outcome of Obama's only term when he was first elected. He was the most inexperienced, unqualified person to run for the Presidency and he has been a failure based upon his policies, or lack of them, and we can't "change" that. He promised and promised and over promised and many believed him. Dollars to donuts says Kid Rock did too and probably voted for Obama. Their is nothing wrong with having made that mistake the first time but Rock has enough sense to not make the same mistake twice.

Here's a brief video of segments of what he told the crowd that day. For you that suspect slective editing, the whole introduction can be found on YouTube for your viewing and it is 5 minutes and 34 seconds long so help yourselves.

Many who voted for Obama, from both parties and Independents, wanted to give Obama a chance to succeed. What they didn't want to see was a President who has spent his whole term in office campaigning in front of a teleprompter. It's a crutch and I would like to see a President who can think on his feet and not read off of a screen words that someone else is telling him what he needs to say.

Most of us also didn't want to have a President, especially in the economic condition the nation was trying to recover from, who has spent his entire term blaming George W. Bush. He told us that he was up to the job of fixing our economy and he was not up to the task. In fact, he and the Democratic Party went on a wild spending spree like a drunken sailor on shore leave for the first two years of his term. Then the electorate said, "Hold on son. That isn't the change we wanted." He ignored that advice and continued blaming anyone and everyone he could blame for his shortcomings and lack of leadership.

The Difference Between Being A Leader And An Obama

Kid Rock may indeed lose some fans, maybe even a few friends. If they were supposedly friends they probably weren't worth having. I enjoy some of the Kid's musical work and leave some of it along like the rap pieces he does. But one thing I know about this man is that he is a patriot. He has spent many long weeks in hostile fire areas entertaining our service members. That sets him apart from many in his industry. He has worked within the city of Detroit trying to turn a little of the tide in that disaster area. He knows the deal and has been on the mean streets.

In his own words he told the crowd that "you have to stand for something even if it may alienate a few fans. I'm like that myself. I stand for this principles of this nation and the US Constitution and if I alienate a few people so be it. Kid Rock doesn't sing songs to please everybody and I don't write write articles to please the masses either. We both write to inform in our own way.

No We Can't Afford 4 More Kid Rock!

The Kid saw what many of us saw the night of the first debate. He saw the real Obama. He saw the Obama who doesn't have the answers, just some lame talking points he has used over and over again during his tenure. When called on his failed policies his reaction was to hang his head. You can't defend the indefensible. That's why I don't know why the progressives even try.

Rock summed it up nicely: “But the facts are the facts, and we just saw them come to light at the last debate. With no outside BS, no biased media involved, no interruptions and negative political ads every five seconds, and most importantly, no damned teleprompter.” Those who weren't sipping furiously on their koolaid that night and playing with their Trickle Me Obama doll saw exactly what many of us saw. A failed President with a failed administration full of Chicago thugs and socialists.

When you throw that keg party Rockster send me an invite. Should be fun!

QUOTE OF THE DAY FROM THE KID: “I also wanna be real clear that I’m very proud to say that we had elected our first black president. I'm sorry he didn't do a better job. I really wish that he would have."

Yeah me too Kid Rock. But it is what it is and we see what we see. He tried and the great social experiment failed. Lets learn from that experience and move on - without Obama. And don't go screaming racist at the top of your lungs. That has nothing to do with any of it.
