Showing Up For Work

Updated on September 16, 2012

Past Time Really...

This past week has been incredible with events spiraling out of hand and revelations coming fast and furious about Obama's detachment from events and what his true priorities are. As this administration moved along the last several years one thing seemed apparent to me. Barack Obama sees himself as having "rock star" status. Over 100 rounds of golf have been played at our expense. Over 16 expensive vacations have been taken by the Obama's at a time when he preaches austerity. I would suggest that he practice what he preaches. We had an ambassador killed along with his security detail and what does Obama do? He flies off to Las Vegas to continue his campaign.

This video speaks volumes about Obama and his lack of leadership and continual absence from our nation's Capitol.

He does see himself as Barack The Rock Star who is above the rest of the filthy masses. He just wants your ear, your vote and your money. Once he has that he will continue doing exactly what he has been doing - the wrong things. Heavens to Betsy don't criticize "The Oba-Messiah" or you will have the feds crawling all over you. Recently I caught the announcement of the Beyonce, Jay-Z fund raiser in The City. Got your tickets yet? Down in the Miami area a radio blurb with Obama and the "The Pimp With A Limp" jiving a bit. You can listen to that 10+ minute interview on You Tube by typing in "The Pimp With A Limp." Quite Presidential I would think the left is proud of their man. Obama knows how to waste his time which right now happens to also be our time.

Obama creates this window dressing council called the President's Council On Jobs And Competitiveness. What a fancy title for a council that hasn't created job one. The biggest hard fact that came out of all that was Obama admitting there wasn't a "shovel ready" in his shovel ready stimulus projects. The council is in hibernation now. Obama likes to talk about creating jobs but doesn't have a clue how to create one. Besides he doesn't have time to pay attention to a council of business leaders who know how to create jobs. The only job Obama is concerned with is keeping his.

Party Hardy While It's Not Your Dime Time!

So as our Ambassador to Libya and his security detail are murdered on 9-11 it is suddenly brought to light that of late Obama has missed over half of his daily security briefings Why should he concern himself with such minor details. After all, wasn't it he who received the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing? Wasn't it he who went on a World Apology Tour to insure that all the world loves America and the new kid on the block who was going to change the way Islamic fundamentalists hate this country? Fat chance of that happening. His policy of appeasement is presently blowing up in his stupid face. Over 100 rounds of golf but doesn't have time to meet with one of his basic duties? He obviously sees himself above that also, not the golf - the briefings.

All this unrest is after Obama appears to blow off a request for a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel. Again a matter of priorities as Obama can make time to trot off for an interview with a fawning David Letterman in NYC or off to the west coast for a gig with Jay Leno or maybe an interview with People Magazine? It is of no consequence that Israel is now about our only Allie who can be trusted in the Middle East. Iran having a nuclear weapon might be way down on this Rock Star President's list of things to stop.

Back in 2008 Obama chomped at the bit wanting for us to put him into the ball game because he had all the plays to solve the nation's woes. Reminds me of that Creedance Clearwater song about "put me in coach, I'm ready to play..." He was ready to play on our dime but lacked the experience and qualifications to be the President of a nation. Maybe a lemonade stand but come on now Obama.

Clint Eastwood had it right when he said, "We own this country. Politicians work for us, And, when they don't do the job, we gotta let them go." It's time now for Obama to go. For those of you who bought the "hope and change" snake oil it's time to shake off the koolaid haze and face the "he failed music." For those of you who voted for Obama because of his race to be part of history and show the world you aren't a racist that is fine. This time help the rest of your fellow citizens to evict him from The People's House to show the rest of us you aren't an idiot. Whoever heard of voting for anyone because of their skin color until Obama came along?

A Perfect Fit? Empty Suit In An Empty Chair?

Obama needs to understand, though I doubt that he ever will, that there is no magic pill or secret sauce. What it takes is leadership and rolling up your sleeves and getting to work. The endless campaign trail is what we have experienced in reality for the past four years. The secret pill is leadership. Not the community organizer kind of leadership but real world business experience and know how. Those are the basic qualifications for a man or woman to become the CEO of the most powerful nation in the world.

I personally didn't expect more from Obama than I have seen. I bothered to look behind the curtain and didn't like what I found out. Maybe this time more people who are thinking about voting for Obama again will take their rose colored glasses off and do some leg work and research. He talks the talk but lacks the walk.

Promises, promises, promises...

I don't think it too much to ask for the President of this nation to show up for work. His job isn't Campaigner-In-Chief. He has that down pat but that isn't what we pay the man to do to occupy that position. We deserve more, much more. No more golf, no more vacations, no more campaigning until the nation is fiscally sound again.

Is that too much to ask? Not really. It's called "No More Obama." Enough is enough.

As Always,

The Frog Prince

Remember In November!
