Putin Wags The Dog

Updated on September 19, 2013

KGB Versus Community Organizer

Seems we're on a path to redefining the foreign policy of the United States of America and our role in the world. Of course, Obama did promise 1) he was going to fundamentally change our nation and 2) that if he was reelected he would have "greater flexibility" with Vlad Putin. Neither one of those two promises is to the benefit of this country and its citizens but those are the types of promises Obama is intent of keeping.

What I don't like about Putin wagging the dog is that it isn't Obama alone that he is wagging but our entire nation. You see Putin realizes that people were stupid enough to elect, then reelect, the most unqualified and inexperienced person to ever run for this nation's highest office. I wrote at the time that this point in history wasn't the best time to give anyone on-the-job training running our country. He wasn't up to the task then and still isn't up to the task now. When he finally goes there should be a great book of gaffes to go over.

Since Putin grabbed Obama's tail here is a short video that will help explain to all how cleaver Obama was in redefining his strategy concerning Syria. Again incoherence is the watch word with Obama's shape shifting act.

Redouble? Obama's Policy On Syria - The 2 Minute Version

So Obama is going to "redouble" down, which isn't a word, and give Putin even more flexibility to show how inexperienced our President is? Seems Obama doesn't know when to keep his big mouth shut and his big ears open. We went from a "small strike" to total capitulation. Mark my words that is what this will turn into. He came out all bluster and crept off at the end with his tail between his legs and Putin hanging onto it. Then unbelievably they concoct a face saving story that he and the Russians were in high level discussion way back before he got wagged about this supposed solution that isn't a solution to befit this nation. I reckon he thinks we still believe in fairy tales, hope and change and such nonsense.

This isn't going to be pretty I can assure you. Before this latest "redoubling," Putin has stated that allied planes would be shot down if in Syrian air space and that Russia was going to protect Syria with its own version of the iron dome. Doesn't sound to me like those "high level talks" were working if they ever existed. People wonder why I doubt Obama's word? I can tell you it is because rarely does he keep it. To him it is easier to tell a lie than to speak the truth.

Why not just hand the Mideast influence we had, what is left of it, to Putin and his bunch on a silver platter? What an incoherent foreign policy this administration has turned our status into by blunder after blunder. I'm talking bowing to foreign potentates, declaring the War on Terror over, Libya and that fiasco which ultimately claimed the lives of 4 Americans, the fiasco in Egypt and us coming down on the radical Islamic side of that situation and now this. I'm sure some readers can fill in even more blanks.

So what just happened, in a nutshell, was for al Assad to be legitimized on the world stage, with more than a big assist from Barack Hussein Obama. He was playing point guard during that quarter. Talk about an about face. Obama went from demanding that Assad resign to giving him legitimacy as a key player in this atrocity. He was whining about how cruel it was to use that deadly sarin gas on innocent civilians to just about insuring Assad isn't going anywhere.

Obama went from calling for Assad's head to Putin having his. Kerry and his crew love to spin it one way and one way only. The fact is Assad now sees himself as being the bus driver with the Obama administration being under the bus where Putin threw them. Want a chuckle. Kerry's compromise gives Assad one week to hand over a list of all his chemical munitions and there locations.

While at the same time news reports are being disseminated that Assad is now actively moving his munitions around the country, or even out of the country, to make them harder to find. Why,I ask you, would he be doing that? Doubt me? Here's what Kerry said Saturday, “They have moved them, and we know they have moved them We've seen them. We’ve watched this.”Chess is a thinking man's game. You have to be at least three plays ahead of your opponent. Putin is, Assad is but neither Obama nor Kerry are.

We are talking some major flaws in doing what the agreement calls for. The exact location of the sites where Assad has/had his arsenal stashed aren't identified. It's up to Assad to supply a list? Hold your breath as to its accuracy. Since the sites weren't pinpointed it isn't known if they are under Assad's control or the rebels control. The Obama administration contends they are under the regime's control. The Russians say otherwise. Since the Russian are on the ground I think they may have a better, though distorted view, of the answer to that question.

Bottom line is that Obama got out-thugged by Putin. Putin took an off the cuff remark made by Kerry and made Obama to be the one trick pony he is. All the sudden Putin moves from ruthless thug to peace maker? Do you really believe that? I sure don't. Just the complexity of the agreement that they penned seems doomed for failure. The timelines are unrealistic in a peaceful environment and they are going to attempt to do what in a ruthless civil war? Then Kerry wants to go public and thank Putin? A bit premature I would think-Kerry: .“I want to thank President Putin for his willingness to pick up on the possibility of negotiating an end to Syrian weapons of mass destruction."

I'll bet you that sucker still believes in the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. Listen I have this bridge, actually more than one, that I'll sell you cheap. The latest gaffe is that Obama is now saying even though he rolled over on Syria he's not afraid to bomb Iran. I'm not sure all those mullahs in Iran believe a word he says. I can assure you that I don't.
