President Glitch Threatens To Veto?

Updated on November 18, 2013

The irony surrounding Obama and his signature piece of "junk " legislation trying to control our health care industry, specifically what he calls "junk" policies, runs deeper by the day. The House bill (H.R. 3350), which I personally think the Republicans should not have written a word of because it offers political cover for Obama and his minions, is under threat of a veto by Dear Leader Obama.

One of these days Obama may bother to actually read the US Constitution before it becomes too late for him to do so. The Upton bill offers a very skimpy (read: unenforceable) requirement to require him at keep his promise that he made over 30 times at last count. . At the outside it was written by one house of Congress as it should have been but has no teeth just as Obama's mandate to the insurance companies doesn't.

The weekend news shows can sometimes produce a nugget or two as this past one did. Seems that all kinds of critters are liable to crawl out form the Obama house of cards about his lying ways.

Recognize This Woman

She would be Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand for the semi-socialist state of New York. She had another cat to let out of the bag as Obama's fellow Democrats run for cover. More like a tiger if one thinks about it. So all of the time while Obama and his cronies were running around the nation telling it like it really wasn't here's an admission of outright guilt by the Senator.

She was asked on ABC's This Week if Obama misled the American people. I'll be darned if she didn't tell the truth! The question was if his lips were moving (read: he's lying) when he told the citizens of this nation that they could keep their insurance plans if we liked them. PERIOD. Below is her answer:

“He should’ve just been specific. No, we all knew.”

Of course they all knew. An amendment was offered by the Senate Republicans at the time the bill was supposedly being crafted to prevent what we just saw and was rejected by Harry Reid and his Senate Democratic cronies. It was another Sham Wow moment in this fiasco. that's one of the reasons I am a strong advocate for kicking every Democrat running for reelection slap dab out of the United States Senate. Every last one of them. Every one of the people who voted for this bill KNEW exactly what was going on and what would happen AFTER to goodies were distributed up front. THEY KNEW!

Here's an additional tidbit she added:

"The re distributive nature of Obamacare was the point of the program; anyone claiming ignorance, therefore, is not telling the truth."

So back to Upton's bill. Though belatedly the House is trying to hold Obama to his word. The Senate had tried at time Obama care was being worked up. Both efforts will end up failing, That latter already did. Besides the fact that Obama has no legal authority to do anything of the sort what else is new? That's why I think Upton was misguided in offering Obama any political cover at all.

The language of the threat is found below:

"H.R. 3350 – Keep Your Health Plan Act of 2013

(Rep. Upton, R-MI, and 161 cosponsors)

The Administration strongly opposes House passage of H.R. 3350 because it threatens the health care security of hard working, middle class families. The Nation is experiencing the slowest growth in health spending in the last 50 years. Since 2008, growth in private health insurance spending stayed between three and four percent – significantly lower than earlier this decade when growth reached almost 12 percent. With health care costs rising at such low rates, this bill would be a major step back.

H.R. 3350 rolls back the progress made by allowing insurers to continue to sell new plans that deploy practices such as not offering coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, charging women more than men, and continuing yearly caps on the amount of care that enrollees receive. The Administration supports policies that allow people to keep the health plans that they have. But, policies that reverse the progress made to extend quality, affordable coverage to millions of uninsured, hardworking, middle class families are not the solution. Rather than refighting old political battles to sabotage the health care law, the Congress should work with the Administration to improve the law and move forward.

If the President were presented with H.R. 3350, he would veto it."

Note that in that threat a slow down in the rise of health care costs is mentioned. What happened to the average family saving $2,500 a year in premium costs Obama? The release also doesn't mention (WHOOPS) the slowdown in increases to Obama's continued economic downturn. It had nothing to do with Obamacare in actuality.

Me? Yes I am a conservative and damned proud of it. I am not proud of the federal government and the kabuki theater we keep witnessing so that those career pickpockets can continue plying their craft. I know that money doesn't grow on political trees and there is no free lunch. Many of you realize that and others best wake up before it's too late.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "There is a cure for Obamacare. It's called a total repeal."

Vote It," "Like" It, "Tweet" It, "Pin " It, "Share It" With Your Followers. Time to let em read it and keep reading it.
