Payoffs For Layoffs? Not Team Obama!

Updated on October 3, 2012

More Obama Corruption

This is by far the most corrupt administration I have seen and I've seen more than a few. Obama and his cronies make Richard Nixon look like a choir boy. Now all you Obama supporters need to start paying attention even if you think Obama has your best interests at heart. He has his own at heart and this should further prove to you that he will do anything or say anything to protect his job. He doesn't care about your skin in the game one bit. He fooled you in 2008 and has been fooling you ever since. He said that if he didn't straighten out our economy, which he has not done, during his four year term it would be a one term proposition. Now none of you seem to want to hold the Liar-In-Chief to his word.

Stay with me because this is going somewhere. You just need to understand how Obama is willing to throw American workers under the bus just like he has thrown others under that same bus once their usefulness to him has been served. In this case it is his reelection I'm talking about. His one term proposition needs to be a reality and not his usual lying self.

Specifically there is a federal law called the WARN Act enacted in 1989 and later amended. That act requires that employers give workers a minimum of 60 days notice if they are going to lay them off. It is a federal law, not a regulation or wish list. Next into the arena is sequestration. Under the Budget Control Act of 2011 a deal was cut to raise the federal debt limit. That deal should have never happened nor the debt limit raised.

Promises were made under that Act to make mandatory budget cuts to reduce deficits by $2.1 trillion from 2012 to 2021. The whole concept of the Congressional commission they put together was ridiculous because all sides knew it was going to be no more than a dog and pony show that reached no agreement and sequestration would be the result. $500 billion of that sequestration would fall on the military in addition to an already existing cut of another $500 billion.

Here's where it gets interesting. The WARN Act requires that private-sector employers with 100 or more full-time employees workers at least 60 days notice of plant closings and layoffs. Without those warnings being given the law allows those employees to sue. Seems like a sensible law to protect workers to me.

Where it hits the road and goes splat though is that the 60 day limit will hit many defense contracting companies just before election day. So this administration has decided the companies in question, Lockheed Martin and BAE, being two of the major ones to break the WARN Act with a wink and a nod and they are being bribed by a promise This past Friday, things always come out on a Friday with this bunch, the Office of Management & Budget issued a memo telling contractors that if they do not issue mass layoff warnings then contractors will be repaid any legal costs when layoffs occur during sequestration. The memo went on to add that all legal fees would be covered regardless of the outcome of said litigation.

What A Snake In The Grass This Guy Is...

What's being said is pathetic, absolutely pathetic when the welfare of workers is what we are talking about and not the reelection of a slick politician named Obama. Just go ahead and break the federal law, dump on your workers and we got your back when you do because we say it's alright to do that. Just don't say a damned word about it to your workers before the election on November 6th.

Here's something you need to understand about this whole stinking deal. The Obama administration set this whole sequestration deal up knowing that the Congressional idiots that sat there weren't there to make a deal. It was intended as a dog and pony show. Obama knew going in that there was going to be fallout coming out. He can't deal with the reality of that fallout now and is attempting to hide reality from voters that thousands of workers are going to lose their jobs because he can't do his.

Understand something else about these bribes. That is taxpayer money that is being used to hush the truth. Being a taxpayer myself I am fed up with all this smoke and mirrors crap that continually goes on with a wink and a nod. Enough is enough. That isn't "government money" as liberals like to call it. That is our money which we entrust to a federal government to spend wisely, not bribe anyone into silence. That's called graft and corruption folks.

Up In Smoke

So now then just how many jobs are projected to be lost once the sequestration provisions kick in? A report issued by George Mason University has unemployment soaring above 9% again and that will cause a further reduction in the nation's growth in 2013. Our nation's growth has been anemic during the course of this administration already. And you want more? Convenient timing for Obama huh? Just a few of the job loss estimates amount to two-thirds of a million workers losing their jobs including 48,059 healthcare jobs, 98,953 construction jobs, 473,250 manufacturing jobs and 617,449 federal jobs.

The link below is the full findings of the study if you'd care to read it.

I'm sick and tired of the US taxpayers being Obama's personal ATM machine. Under what authority is this administration using to tell companies to disregard the federal law and not issue the notices? Congressional figures of all stripes are now asking that question. Under whose authority can a federal law be set aside? Obama's? He has now become a dictator or is it just a political move to try to cover up the reality of what will happen prior to this election?

Without due notice being given to the workers in question the taxpayers can be billions upon billions of dollars on the hook because Obama wants everyone to be quiet until after the election. The man is a nut job. Those are Americans he is using as pawns. Now if you don't think he'll throw your tired butt under the bus, I suggest you think again.

QUOTE OF THE DAY FROM SEVERAL US SENATORS: "Apparently, President Obama [is putting his own reelection] ahead of American workers by denying them adequate time to plan their finances and take care of their families."

Here's my suggestion about this Chicago style, underhanded, bumbler named Obama. It's time we issue him a termination notice this November. There will be no lay-off to it. And here you were thinking that Obama cares about anyone but himself. Bunk.

"Like" It, "Tweet" It, "Pin " It, "Share It" With Your Followers. Time to let em read it.

As Always,
