Paid To Conceal?

Updated on May 24, 2013

Something Wrong With This Picture?

The Outrageous Conduct Continues

Now imagine if you will that you are paid by the US tax payers as a high level bureaucrat. Start there. Then imagine that you were the head honcho of the division responsible for granting tax exempt status to organization. Connect those dots. Then factor in that your boss, the head of the Internal Revenue Service, had visited the White House over 100 times since Obama took office. Connect that dot now.

On one of those visits, the day afterward organizations start being targeted by the IRS. We're making a picture which you probably accomplished as a child, but many can't seem to grasp as adults. Liberal adults especially have a problem doing this since they helped elect the most corrupt individual to ever sit in the Oval Office.

People say it isn't fair to compare the scandals swirling around the Obama administration to the Nixon administration. I find that curious since Obama makes Nixon look like a choir boy. The is a reader exchange from the last Hub I wrote concerning just a small part of this. I will include a link at the bottom in case you missed that article.

"brs02 - Comparing this administration to Nixon is really unfair to Nixon.

Ghost32 - brso2: That's a really good point. Maybe we can popularize the phrase, "BEYOND Nixonian", and it'll get some traction....

Wait. This is better: LYBN, "Light Years Beyond Nixon". It gets the point across AND the acronym looks like a dyslexic version of "he's Been Lying", which of course he has, every day."

Ghost32 has a tendency to think on his feet and his mind is still agile and spry. Obama has put Nixon to shame in the corruption and quest for power categories. So back to the dots.

Imagine a top bureaucrat working for the IRS not being good at math. Get a warm fuzzy thinking about that one? She is the very one who was caught on the recording admitting that organization with "Tea" or "Patriot" and who really knows yet what words in their titles were targeted for "extra" scrutiny in their applications. In case you haven't been following the story line religious organizations were also being in the category. Strange that as the story unfolds and people come forward with the questionnaires that they were sent to answer that no one knows anything about anything. Reminds me of Sergeant Schultz.

What does an organizations affiliation with one individual(s) actually named in the questionnaires have to do with their ability to qualify for the status being sought? Or the content of the prayers that were being offered up to God have to do with any of this? If you can't connect those dots I have to put you in the brain dead category.

So back to Lois Lerner. This woman has been making more than House Representatives and US Senators in base salary and bonuses. That should rub anyone wrong in my humble opinion.

The New Sergeant Schultz

Lois is subpoenaed by the House of Representative's Oversight Committee to testify about the irregular targeting of conservative groups. Some of you have been following this but read on. Well, she does show up. She makes an opening statement herself claiming the female "Sergeant Schultz" version proclaiming her innocence. Then she promptly claims the Fifth Amendment privileges against self-incrimination and clams up. Wowser! Who gave her such legal advice or did she just do that on her own? Many a lawyer now is chomping at the bit now to have her held in contempt. You can't offer an affirmative defense, claim the 5th and not be cross examined. We'll let the lawyers sort through that but it's not looking good for Lois.

She goes back to work in a different position for the IRS and the new Acting Director of the IRS asks her to resign. That's the good part because we pay the woman a good salary to be open and honest with the people who pay her. She refuses his request so what does he do? He puts her on paid administrative leave.

Maybe Obama Has A Future As A Brick Mason Or Making Little Rocks Out Of Big Rocks

Your Honor! I object! Does anyone recognize a stone wall when they see it?

And here we are being stone walled time after time by members of the Obama administration like Nixon never would have dreamed up. Obama himself claims to know nothing himself unless he sees it on a news cast. Then we have the Attorney General, another corrupt scoundrel, attempting to stifle free press so what gives there? Now we're going to have Eric Holder investigating Eric Holder but that's an entirely different Hub.

Obama's Chief of Staff and Senior Aides knew about this shenanigans and we're expected to believe that he was never told? Really? That might be plausible but is entirely improbable.

So now we have a senior civil servant who refuses to tell the truth because of self-incrimination? Still connecting those dots American tax payers? For those of you who pay none it probably doesn't matter huh? On top of her stone walling we are paying her richly to do so? What in the world is going on with the corruption that is woven throughout our federal government?

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "IRS Director of Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner was shocked to discover those fabled "low-level employees in Cincinnati" were systematically discriminating against conservative organizations. Seems the woman was signing off on intimidating letters to those very same organizations, nine months after she said she learned of the abusive practices and put a stop to them."

If you haven't woken up yet and connected the dots to get a clear picture, may I suggest you now do so? The last picture below I see coming over the horizon which will complete the cover-up circle and should lead to impeaching a few folks. Richard Nixon rest easy this one has you beat hands down.
