So Here We Go Again...
Now I know some people worship the ground that Smirksalot (Obama) walks on, and I feel sorry for those folks. Why? Because they let the man dupe them into voting for him. He made more campaign promises than Carter has little live pills. There are at least 500 of them that we know of. Many were centered around what George Bush had, or had not, done in his tenure as President. That was all grand rhetoric meant to make people vote for him and not GWB. Was i ever startled when I entered the voting booth and the name Bush didn't appear on my ballot. How about you?
He has broken many a campaign promise since he took office and this latest one is one of the most serious ones I have witnessed. If you want to believe anything this guy has to say after you read this and see the video, then you have some serious problems with understanding when someone is an outright liar and will do anything, or saying anything, to get his way.
There is something called a "Presidential Signing Statement" that is outright unconstitutional. Obama himself will explain to you what it is and preposterously explain to you why his ten years of teaching Constitutional Law would prevent him from ever taking up this practice. Again because Bush did it among other things. I won't have to explain it, just watch this video and he will do it for me.
Listen to it one more time if you didn't wrap your head around the numerous misstatements he made when making that pledge. So you are probably asking, "What does this have to do with what is going on?" It's simple and like I just said, "If you believe anything this man says after this you may want to get your noggin checked."
He just did exactly what he said he would never do. He said he would obey the Constitution of the United States and he just blatantly violated it. How so?
There was a rider in the budget compromise referred to as Section 2262. It dealt with defunding certain Whine House czar positions. After all those laborious negotiations we, the American people, had to put up with so the idiots up there could insure that there wasn't a government shutdown, Obama signed the bill to fund the government through this fiscal year into law. Section 2262 was part of the compromise that Congress had reached to make this happen. Obama signed that compromise bill into law then immediately compromised the law.
Shortly after signing that very bill into law, he signed a "Presidential Signing Order" declaring he will not abide by it. If you haven't gotten the nature of the beast sitting up there by now, I fail to understand your mentality. He will lie, cheat or steal to get his way. This trick on the entire Congress of the United States, and the American people, isn't happenstance. He had it planned the whole way. I also believe that the Senate and House Democratic leadership knew what his endgame was the entire time they were pretending to be serious about passing the bill.
I'll just leave it at that. I'll never believe another word uttered from his lips. He eloquently pointed out that what had been done by Bush was unconstitutional and I'll be damned if he didn't just flagrantly break the supreme law of this nation. I have NO (ZERO) respect anymore for the total fraud occupying The People's House.
I would suggest to all that they write, fax and call your elected Representative and both your Senators to demand action be taken. This is starting to an over the cliff administration.

Hmrjmr1 - Blatant is a nice word. Have you noticed that the Lame Stream Media is not saying a word about any of this. Obama is the biggest hypocrite I have ever seen in my 60 years of life.
This administration has the Smoke & Mirrors Act down pat. Maybe they should propose legislation so his followers will get the full picture?

I know Bush issued a ton of signing statements (mostly in regard to post Iraq invasion intelligence gathering), but I didn't know Obama did. One more strike against him. A signing statement is simply a declaration that "that law does not apply to me." These are completely illegal. They are the equivalent of saying that enumerated powers and Congress's sole power to legislate are null and void.
Stu - How many strikes this guy gonna get? He's wiffed at about every ball thrown at him and his crowd of fans continue to cheer!
FP - Normally, baseball provides for three strikes until an out occurs. However, in this case, the President issued a signing order allowing unlimited strikes. He stays at bat indefinitely until he hits the ball. If the ball is caught, he still gets a single (EO 2764).
Obama is protected from criticism by a suit of arrogance he cultivated over the years. If his head were tilted any higher to the ceiling I think he would drown in a rain storm. Our only hope is to get him out in 2012. Every day that he is power puts all of us at risk. Well done Prince. Up and awesome.

Another great Hub FP, but since I have such a thick skull and I don't know very much about constitutional law or any law for that matter I'm forced to ask a question. Wouldn't it be easier and politically safer for him to invoke his line item veto power and just mark out what he doesn't like about the bill before he signs it? Or is he so arrogant that he feels that he has to put in his two cents worth before he takes all the credit? OK, OK, that was two questions. Sorry.

pc1 - There is no line item veto granted to a President. This is a prime example of why he doesn't have one. This is also a prime example of another President stepping all over the US Constitution, something he said he would never do. He was caught on tape again.
To use a justification such as, "Well, GWB did it" would be absurd. That will be the liberal talking point though. You know, the old blame Bush game?
Plain and Simple. Get this yoyo out of office. You can always know when he will start off with a lie because he points that finger first then leans forward! What a A--Hole we have leading America.

Imagine during the campaign if Barrack Hussein Obama had stood in front of the adoring masses and pronounced; elect me and I'll make a mockery of the constitution; I will redistribute wealth; I will ignore our illegal alien problem; I will attempt to pass laws that will drive what's left of our industry overseas and if I can't get the laws passed I will assign the function to regulate them to the EPA or other governmental bodies; I will bring unions back with vengeance and will never, never, tell you the truth about anything I do!
Partisan Patriot - The job of the next candidate to oppose this fraud is to meet his BS head on and expose him for who he is and what he is. Nuff said?
I wrote my 2 Senators this morning about this and demanded that they act together to do something about this. I went on further to say that I didn't care if George Bush also did it or not. Two wrongs have never made a right. This is a direct violation of the US Constitution.

It seems the notoriously famous "Chicago Style Politics" are now the accepted way of life in Washington. So far, this guy has gotten away with everything, and now feels he is untouchable.

Frog I am going to bring up something that may open a whole other can of worms...but it hit our home rather personal. I have two children I adopted as babies that are of mixed heritage. They are adults now. When President Obama came up in the running, my son was ecstatic. As an adult he never paid much attention to politics before. Here was a man that may be the first black president. My son was more than excited. Our little town offered little for examples of strong black men in higher positions. Being that my son was young, like many and myself not understanding the political talk, was awed that times were changing, I saw hope in my son like never before. I think many black Americans felt the same way. The argument for many has never been a racial issue; it was the character of the man. I think now many both white and black are seeing this. It is a sad let down on many levels. There are so many broken promises. No it is not about color on ones skin, and I know people would like to make it one but it is about what he says and does. My son doesn't speak about him anymore. The man he hoped would just set an example has been shattered. That is how it affected our family and I am sure others. Thanks for letting me share. Please know I don’t want to open this up as a racial bashing thing, just to share that the character of the man is what this is all about. Many young people paid attention for the first time and now where do they look and who do they believe?

I often wish we would have a fog envelope the entire planet that would turn everyone Purple. And exactly the same shade of Purple with no light or dark shades, everyone exactly the same color.
This would in itself eliminate a great many of our problems. However I can assure you the change would be temporary and would soon be replaced with short people vs tall people, skinny people vs fat people, and on and on. That is just the way the human race works I guess.
Sunnie - Believe me I won't allow any Hub I write become involved in a racial fight. That has nothing to do with Obama. I have had the race card played on me enough by flaming liberals and when it happens it is because that is their card of last resort to try to justify the incompetence of Obama. Thank you for sharing that story and many people who drank the Koolaid now see just how toxic it can be.
Sorry about that Frog. I just did a little research. I didn't realize the Supreme Court had put the smack down on that line item veto thing back in '98. Now I feel like an idiot (thick skull, remember).

Listening to the Sunday morning 'political' talk shows on the three msm channels this morning, I was bemused to note that the dems who now have begun to retreat from their support of Obama are blaming G.W. Bush for his election. Really? Did NO ONE vote for him other than G.W.?
They have also begun to blame Obama for the election of "The Donald" for our next president.
They know so much more than I do that I have to wonder where all this grand array of knowledge comes from.

Sunnie, Old Poolman has it exactly right about the color purple. My first-ever science fiction novel featured a tall purple race of plains warriors and agriculturalists. They put down one of their members--a seasoned and respected warrior at that--for daring to introduce an alien, green (hey Frog) plant where they'd always raised purple stuff. (The green was alfalfa from Earth.)
But the hassle didn't end there. They got invaded by stockier, meaner purple people who'd gotten tired of living in the jungle and decided to take over.
So...yeah. Make us all look the same, and we'll figure out some way to discriminate by noon of the same day.

FP - Well my Green Friend, Did you really expect any thing else? The fundamental fact of politicians from both parties are that they will say one thing and do something else when it suits them or their donors. This one (POTUS) brings it to a new level of blatancy, but it is truly more of the same.
After all 'reccisions' are now 'cuts' in the federal budget, the smoke and mirrors are every where.
